In the age of integrated medicine, Chinese medicine is often described as a solution for sports injuries and other forms of pain. This presentation makes the case that Chinese herbal medicine has the potential to treat serious diseases, including some disorders for which standardized care approaches fail to provide answers. Heiner Fruehauf presents a case of life threatening pulmonary fibrosis, which was reversed with Chinese botanicals after standard medical interventions had failed to stop the degenerative autoimmune process and the patient was considered for lung transplantation.
