For many acupuncturists providing perinatal care, one of the pandemic’s ‘silver linings’ has been the shift from in-person labor acupressure classes to individual zoom lessons. In this workshop we discuss how to combine existing labor acupressure support materials for everyone, such as Debra Bett’s free printouts and Kate Levett’s video resources, with constitution-specific approaches from Claudia’s birth acupressure book. Regardless of your level of experience with birth, you are a leading expert on your patient’s constitution. By using that knowledge to anticipate possible challenges and pregame strategies for working through them together, you can help patient and partner feel better prepared to road into parenthood as an effective team.
