Quantifying the Ruler: How Heart Rate Variability Connects Our Cells to The Universe

In this presentation, we will explore several foundational frameworks to provide a unifying view of how we can use Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to evaluate and monitor our health and that of our patients. The presentation will start off with an overview of why we as practitioners and health leaders should be familiar with HRV as a set of biomarkers. We will then take a closer look at what HRV is and how our body creates it. We’ll then take a broad view of how the Universe functions according to both a modern translation of the Neijing, a 2,000 year old core text of Classical Chinese Medicine, as well as according to modern physics.
