We’ll discuss the meaning of “Traditional Chinese Medicine” and “Classical Chinese Medicine”, how these terms evolved and how they are currently being applied in our profession. With an eye on the practical applications of both TCM and CCM as well as their associated styles of acupuncture and herbal medicine, we will explore how to develop a clear idea of what to expect from each of these systems. We’ll also look a bit at the history of each term, where they draw from each other and where they depart. Presentation of history and ideas will happen for the first half hour and discussion for the second half hour.
