Bioelectricity Research: Groundbreaking Advances and Its Connection to Acupuncture

Endogenous electrical processes in living organisms regulate physiological functions, and research in this field has advanced significantly since the 1930s, with recent discoveries supported by Michael Levin and others. These processes can regulate key physiological processes, control genetic expression, and even promote regeneration of complex limbs and organs in animals and plants. These processes are not mediated by nerve firing and are independent of nervous responses, constituting a non-polarizing neural information transmission system that regulates physiology. The possible correlation with acupuncture will also be discussed.
