Acupuncture Journal Club: Acupuncture Research 101 – Becoming Research Literate

This workshop will cover some fundamental concepts within research. Understanding these will assist you to talk to western medical practitioners and your patients about research studies and keep you up to date with the latest findings in your field. Explanations and easy to understand examples will be covered for understanding p values, statistical significance, clinical significance, Confidence Intervals, and a Cochrane review. We envision that this short workshop will be useful revision for those interested in research and a stepping stone for those who find themselves avoiding reading or discussing research papers because they perceive them as difficult to understand
